Official Tournament Rules
These rules will be interpreted by the Tournament Director/and or committee. All decisions are final
Eligibility: Participation is open to everyone. At least one member of the team must be 18 years of age to operate the boat. All Entrants under the age of 18 must submit the signature of his or her parent or legal guardian. Eligibility to fish will be the sole discretion of the Tournament director/ and or Committee.
Entry Fees: $150 per boat. Checks will be accepted however if any check is returned there will be a $25 returned check fee, no refund. If a refund is not made good within 10 days of notification the contestant will be banned from future participation. Entry fees are non-refundable.No refunds will be given for cancellation. In the event, the Wagoner Area Chamber of Commerce has to move the tournament date due to high water or for any other reason each team will have forty-eight hours (48) from the time the announcement is made to request a refund. Notifications will be sent out via email, text, and posted to Facebook. If no refund is requested within the allotted time no refund will be given.
Late Fees: The traditional $20 Late Fee has been waived.
Prizes: If a team is deemed a winner any and all prize money will be addressed to the captain of the team as well as the 1099 and tax liability. It is up to the captain to split the prize money and tax liability with their co-angler.
Trailering: This is a trailering event, so you may launch from any ramp accessible by water from the Taylors Ferry North Ramp on Fort Gibson. You are allowed to put in ONE time and LOAD ONE Time. You can trailer to the weigh-in or come in by water, either way, you must be checked in by your designated time. You are not allowed to start fishing until the official time designated by the flight you are in. It is the responsibility of each team to know and understand their fishing times. The official time will be determined by your cell phone.
Mandatory Check-In Tournament Morning: All teams will be required to check in and pick up their team packet, ribbon, and number the morning of the tournament. The check-in line will be at the Wagoner Walmart Supercenter located at 401 S Dewey Avenue in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Check-in will be from 4:00 am-6:30 am on July 23rd, 2022. There will be a registration line for anglers who have not paid or registered and a check-in line for anglers that have paid and pre-registered. Please follow the proper signs and get in the correct line. The registration line will be short as most anglers pre-register. If we exceed 200 boats before the morning of the tournament, there will be no registration line at all.
Flight Times: Flight times are subject to change due to sunrise time the day of the tournament. A notification will be sent out via text, email, and posted on Facebook in the event flight times are moved up or back.
Scoring: THREE (3) FISH LIMIT (subject to change based on the recommendation of the Corp of Engineers and temperature forecast) 14-inch minimum length. Measurements will be made with the mouth closed anyway to make the tail touch. “The Golden Rule” is the official measurement board of the Lucky 13 Tournament. Only Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass will be counted. Total bag weight per team will determine place. There will be a ONE (1) pound penalty for each fish that does not meet legal limits. Any dead fish will be weighed at the discretion of the officials. A 1 pound penalty will be deducted from the live weight for each dead fish. All Fish must be caught during the official fishing time on the day of the tournament. All scoring decisions by officials will be final
Ties: All Ties will be broken in the following order: Number of Fish, Big Bass, Coin Toss. If a tie cannot be broken the money for both positions will be combined and split 50/50 between the teams.
Tackle and Equipment: Only artificial bait or lures may be used. Pork-style baits are allowed. No trolling and all fish must be caught on a rod and reel
Fishing Locations: Any areas marked off by the Corps of Engineers will be considered OFF LIMITS.
Safety and Sportsmanship: Safe boating practices must be observed at all times. Life preservers must be worn when boat is on plane. ALL BRIDGES are no wake.
Protest: Any protest must be submitted in writing and filed with the tournament director 15 minutes of the scales closing.
NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES during tournament hours. Immediate disqualification applies.
Dead Water: There is no dead water on this event.
Late Penalty: There is a 1 pound per minute penalty for every minute you are late beyond your scheduled check-in time. If you are more than 5 minutes late you will be disqualified.
Culling Fish: No team may have more than three (3) fish in the live well at any given time. Once the 4th fish is caught, you must cull immediately in order to continue fishing.
Print Official Rules: Print Rules
